Withill is an ideal centre for walking, riding and cycling on the lanes, bridleways and open Moorland.
There are designated cycleways nearby. Birdwatchers too will enjoy their stay at Withill.

Within a few miles of Withill there are many good Inns and Restaurants in the surrounding villages and
Tavistock. All within a radius of 7 miles.

Also available are Buckland Abbey, Cothele House and Lydford Gorge (all National Trust) and the ancient mining port at Morwellham Quay. The picturesque Burrator Reservoir with its tors and forests is also close by. Plymouth offers all the excitement of a modern city plus the fascination of the Hoe and the Barbican.

There are beaches within easy driving distance as well as the awe inspiring Eden Project. You can go river and sea fishing or play golf. There are two golf courses within four miles of Withill, at Yelverton and Tavistock and the International course at St Mellion and others are a short drive away. The gardener will find many places of interest too with the world renowned Garden House at Buckland Monachorum close by.
